Exercise Training-Induced Extracellular Matrix Protein Adaptation in Locomotor Muscles: A Systematic Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Exercise training promotes muscle adaptation and remodelling by balancing the processes of anabolism catabolism; however, mechanisms which exercise delays accelerated wasting are not fully understood. Intramuscular extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins essential to tissue structure function, as they create a responsive environment for survival repair fibres. However, their role in is underappreciated underinvestigated. The PubMed, COCHRANE, Scopus CIHNAL databases were systematically searched from inception until February 2021. inclusion criteria on ECM after healthy adult population. Evidence 21 studies 402 participants demonstrates that induces remodelling, this accompanied adaptation. All types interventions promoted widespread increase collagens, glycoproteins proteoglycans transcriptomes younger older participants. controlling highlighted here concerned with myogenic angiogenic during remodelling. Further research identifying underlying link between ECMs will support discovery novel therapeutic targets development personalised medicine.

Effect of exercise training on passive stiffness in locomotor skeletal muscle: role of extracellular matrix.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of endurance exercise training on both locomotor skeletal muscle collagen characteristics and passive stiffness properties in the young adult and old rat. Young (3-mo-old) and senescent (23-mo-old) male Fischer 344 rats were randomly assigned to either a control or exercise training group [young control (YC), old control (OC), young trained (...
متن کاملTraining-induced adaptation of oxidative phosphorylation in skeletal muscles.
Muscle training/conditioning improves the adaptation of oxidative phosphorylation in skeletal muscles to physical exercise. However, the mechanisms underlying this adaptation are still not understood fully. By quantitative analysis of the existing experimental results, we show that training-induced acceleration of oxygen-uptake kinetics at the onset of exercise and improvement of ATP/ADP stabil...
متن کاملThe Role of Exercise in Adaptation and Body Response to Doxorubicin-Induced Cellular Toxicity: A Narrative Review Study
Doxorubicin is an anthracycline antibiotic used for the treatment of a wide range of cancers. But unfortunately, due to its accumulation within healthy tissues, DOX treatment results in side effects of cellular toxicity. DOX-induced cellular toxicity occurs as a result of increasing oxidative damage, resulting in apoptosis and cell death. There is currently no standard of care practice to preve...
متن کاملThe Effect of Exercise Training on Inflammatory Markers in Patient with Metabolic Syndrome: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
Introduction: Metabolic syndrome is associated with an increase in chronic inflammation, in which exercise training may be an effective intervention for the improvement of inflammatory markers. Accordingly, this study aimed to investigate the effect of exercise training on the inflammatory markers of interleukin 6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), and C-reactive protein (CRP) in pati...
متن کاملMechanisms Involved in Exercise-Induced Cardioprotection: A Systematic Review
BACKGROUND Acute myocardial infarction is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Furthermore, research has shown that exercise, in addition to reducing cardiovascular risk factors, can also protect the heart against injury due to ischemia and reperfusion through a direct effect on the myocardium. However, the specific mechanism involved in exerciseinduced cardiac preconditionin...
